22:50 the most obvious thing in human history. I thought about it when I was a very young child. I'm floored that more people don't realize it very early in life. Love Keller and his sermons, btw.

Highly satisfied with my family, friends, and work. Very satisfied leaving the theology of self hate and blood magic. There is no threat to your souls, folks. You are ok! Christianity is both the threat and the relief. Like a mafia boss saying “sure would be a shame if this building went up in flames.” It’s a disgusting con. Peace be with you, folks, you deserve better.

So - you are highly satisfied. If you are that 1 in 1000, how about you leave us regular humans be? So you don't believe that your satisfaction is either unusual or a self-serving falsehood? Watch the news. Give to charity so you'll notice how many need it. Read more, listen to music. Leave us ordinary mortals alone mate.

Well I just hope he's in the place where he was hoping to be after he croaked after dishing it out to us for so long. But I don't believe in an afterlife. He capitalized on the most Christian nation in the world. Forget the fireplace, he lived in a god damn luxury condo on Roosevelt Island surrounded by thousands of homeless New Yorkers.

Gosh, so the problem is, you have this “created meaning,” in your mind, and when you come to the end of it, to the end of yourself, because you realize *it all* means nothing, (like I’ve done), then you look at your miserable existence and think WHAT THE FREAK IS THE POINT OF THIS? And then, you start seeking God, to which He responds, “Well, [Kimberly] I’m so glad you finally asked,” ❤❤ I only listened to a few of Tim Kellers sermons, maybe ten or twenty, in a period of a week - it was like the food my soul craved. I needed the word so badly, and he explained and fed the word so well! …and then I found out He’d gone home to the Father… I’m sure Heaven was happy, but I cried and cried, almost more than I’ve cried for people I know! 😢 This man made such a difference in my life, and my faith, yet, I never even met him! And I will be eternally grateful. I cannot wait to meet him in Heaven! I pray his family is well! ❤🕊️

Same for me! After growing up in church, I’m finally learning how to be a Christian at 51 thanks to Timothy Keller’s preaching. I can only imagine what life would have been like had I stop trying to be God in my 30’s! I wish more preachers preached the actual Gospel. I don’t mind the “Gods got a blessing for you” messages, but Keller teaches foundational principles that are NEEDED before you try to claim any rights to blessings.

The sad commentary on the reporter who said her research of those doing the most dangerous things to help others, caused her to recognize her secular view as causing her to be more upset over the suffering of others than those with a faith in the supernatural. This sounds like the reason so many in the U.S.A. are subject to "virtue signalling." If you believe your cause is just so stronly that you do not care to even hear the voices of those with a different take, you have a problem. But their "just causes" do not have thae proper godly, moral backing. The sad part to me is that she seems to be acting like you are born secular, so there you go. She instead should be noting the superiority of the godly view of the world and seek toward that herself. Matthew 6 :33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God is the appropriate goal for every person on earth.

Not a chance, my friend! The legacy of Tim Keller goes DEEP...all one has to do is make a practice of listening to him talk - through his sermons, and hearing him in discussions with believers, and unbelievers, too. The man was truly touched by God. Don't we just know how warmly he must have been welcomed into heaven after his own "nice night's sleep"? I will always feel profoundly blessed by his ministry. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. "If you’re loved, but not known . . . that’s superficial. If you’re known but not loved-if someone sees who you are and then rejects you-that’s our greatest nightmare. But to be known to the bottom and yet loved to the sky, that’s life itself. And you know, when Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, the people He was dying for was represented by His wonderful disciples who kept falling asleep on Him. And He kept saying, 'Won’t you keep awake? This is the hour of my greatest need? I’m about to die. I’m in the Garden of Gethsemane. Won’t you please stay awake with me?' And every time, they kept falling asleep. At one point He says, 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.' How tender. You might say the human race is letting Him down at the moment of His greatest need and you know what He says to us? 'I know you meant well. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.' So tender. And then He goes to the cross and He looks down at people denying Him, betraying Him, abandoning Him, mocking Him, and in the greatest act of love in the history of the world, He stayed. He looked all the way into the bottom of our hearts. He knew exactly what we were capable of. He saw the weakness. He saw us to the bottom but He loved us to the skies. And the knowledge of that can liberate you from the things that enslave you. And I hope you see that something is; something's enslaving you. You do not belong to yourself. Jesus Christ says, 'I'm the only master that will not disappoint you if you get Me, and I will forgive you when you fail me, and you will fail me.'" 💜

Since I became born again in 2019 I got to experience the immense blessings of God. He has been kind to me in every area of my life, changed who I am and blessed me with more than I could have ever asked. But lately I’ve been faced with the reality of death, and that all the people I love will die. It made me question, why am I receiving such beautiful blessings, why are flowers so beautifully made, and the sun always rises and warms me; and then there is the overwhelming fact that my mom, brothers, and children will die. Why? But learning about suffering is very helpfully to understanding that this world was never meant to be my home. And suffering doesn’t diminish Gods love for me. I somehow, being a young Christian amongst God’s blessings expected only good things and a pain free life with God. But I’m hopeful to keep learning about God and the meaning and purpose of life and suffering.

Thank you for your testimony, honesty, and vulnerability - it is refreshing to those of us who travel long and get jaded and cranky. Don't pay attention to us! Remember Paul'ls prayer for you - inspired by the Holy Spirit: "May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." 1 Thess 5:23-24

TKeller --What a gifted communicator of The Word to a culture progressively going deaf to it's life- changing truth! May God be with his family, congregation, and students of his pastoral ministry.

“Do good, and then you’re accepted” = every other worldview (which is a crushing weight to bear). “Be accepted, and then you’re free to do good” = Christianity. 39:37 Tim sums it up so well.

“What if I really believed that the God of the universe knew me by name?” It’s so beautiful that it true for all who have faith in Christ.

Great Christian mind or potential false teacher watering down the Bible to his own version of liberation theology with no resemblance to a Christ centered sin redeeming faith. Not a wolf, but a potential surreptitious snake. Identity nonsense.

A marxist to the core, who uses Biblical contextualism to cofuse the simple message of Jesus, He's holy and we"re sinners separated from that necesassary perfection only cured by our death to self and accepting of his sacrifice on the cross.
